Adult Basic Education
(ABE) and
General Education Diploma (GED) Program
The YWCA Adult Literacy Center offers one-on-one and small group tutoring to assist adults on all levels prepare for the GED test or earn an adult diploma through the Pottstown High School. Tutoring and small learning groups are free of charge. Students must be at least 18 years of age and not currently enrolled in another state-funded program. Adult diploma students must be a resident of Montgomery County and at least 20 years old.
Students can receive instruction in reading including vocabulary, grammar, comprehension, and language. Math tutoring includes both applying math skills and understanding concepts. Other additional workshops will be offered throughout the year.
